The Friendship Circle is a warm and vibrant organisation dedicated to enriching the lives of Jewish individuals with disabilities. Through a busy calendar of inclusive daily events and activities, buddy pairings, and other programmes, we bring people together to build confidence, friendship and belonging.

We're looking for a compassionate and proactive Volunteer Manager to leadand support our 140+ volunteers, ensuring that every volunteer is welcomes, trained, appreciated- and above all, makes a real impact.

You'll manage the full volunteer journey: from recruitment, onboarding, and safeguarding to, coordination, management and appreciation. You'll also manage our growing Shabbat Host Programme, and ideally to take part in delivering one evening activity for the members each week.

Experience and skills Required

Essential Skills:

• Empathetic with excellent people skills
• Passion fofr inclusion, disability advocacy, and Jewish life and pactise.
• Flexible with strong organisational and problem solving abilities
• Comfortable working with individuals with disabilities

Desirable:

• Able to work one set evening a week on the staffing rota.
• Previous experience managing volunteers in a charity or community setting
• Knowledge of safeguarding and DBS processes.
• Background in youth work, informal education, or community programming.
